Why do you need this helpful tool?

With the recent changes in the health care system, the role of the medical assistant is becoming more and more important. The medical assistant (MA) is now an integral part of most clinical practices. He/she is expected to know more and to do more. Most MAs' training is short but the amount of information is ever increasing. In a clinic, the MA cannot always refer back to his/her textbook or keep asking the nurse or physician on every issue.

All MAs must work under direct physician supervision. However, is it not helpful if the MA has a quick aid where he/she can find common answers to common questions that arise in clinical practice? This book is that aid. It is not intended to replace your classroom training or textbooks. It is not intended to be used so that you can work independently of your nursing supervisor or physician.
