Manatee Alert helps users be better informed, protect these threatened animals, and contribute to preserving our environment.

Manatee Alert:
* Displays manatee protection and speed zones for Florida based on state data including effective dates and times and restritions
* When location services are enabled on supported iPhones and iPads, provides safety and conservation messages in real-time based on user location
* Allows users to submit sightings of injured, distressed, or harassed manatees to the proper agencies

Throughout the busy summer recreational boating season, manatees are especially vulnerable to the heavy boat traffic moving through the waterways in every direction - this app helps waterway users be aware of existing restrictions.

►► NOT FOR NAVIGATION Boaters are advised to always abide by all regulations as posted on the water and use government approved charts for navigation

►► IMPORTANT - IPOD TOUCH AND WIFI-ONLY IPADS - This application will not be fully functional on these devices, unless you have an external GPS attachment. The map will not follow your position properly without GPS.

►► GPS WARNING - Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
