Mangalore hymns were first published by the Basel missionaries in 1841, (lithography printed in Mumbai) which began with 50 hymns and in 1913 publication became the last edition. Since then it has been reprinted and widely used in various Kannada congregations across the globe.

Christian Friends Network (CFN), is a group of like-minded friends who have been involved in various activities with an intention of ‘not for profit’. It was instrumental in the successful production of ‘Melodian’ an audio CD/program comprising of all the 311 Mangalore Tunes.
