在定位方面， MapTalk 可在地圖上顯示目前位置與到達的目的地，對方即能了解你的所在位置與是否安全到達地點；也能使用簡易的對話功能，傳達單一訊息。APP 設計理念在於「保護人身安全」，如夜間回家的婦女，即可使用此 APP 讓家人或朋友了解你的路途狀況；若是單純的朋友邀約，只要忽略到達的目的地的選項，即可完成個人定位。
