Watch your landing. While the controls in the game are simple, mastering them is another story. Tapping and holding left and right will activate the bursts and holding down on both sides at the same time will slow you down for your landing. Every platform land must be soft and accurate.
Pick your explorer. The more you play, the better chance you have at unlocking neat explorers, each with its own unique environment. You will start off as Max, but can become Ponsky with a dark theme or Aqualung with an underwater type of scheme. With 32 different explorers total, try to unlock them all.
Crashes and fuel. There are a few things that will keep you from a successful landing. First, is obviously the obstacles you must maneuver around. Second, is a hard landing which will cause a crash. And third, is your fuel, so keep an eye on your fuel meter because once it turns red, you are out.
What is it about?
Mars: Mars is a strangely addictive challenge. Once you get the hang of landing ever so softly on those platforms, this game is hard to put down. With a different environment for each explorer that you choose, Mars: Mars keeps the look fresh. And, since you do not lose any progress by switching between characters, it is even better.
