Masjid Al Noor

Masjid Al Noor app by Tunbridge Wells Islamic Cultural Association, a cornerstone of the local Muslim community established in the early 1990’s by a group of dedicated individuals. Our mission at the Tunbridge Wells Islamic Cultural Association is rooted in providing a sacred space for Muslims to observe the five daily Salah, Jumua’h, and Eid Salah and serving the wider community. Prior to our foundation, many Muslims in the area faced arduous journeys, sometimes spanning several hours, to partake in Eid Salah, especially before the construction of the M25 Junction 5. Furthermore, Jumua’h prayers were held within homes due to the absence of a formal centre.

Our journey has been one of perseverance and growth. In the early 1990’s, we acquired an abandoned pub, transforming it into our cherished centre, which has since undergone various renovations to meet the evolving needs of our growing community.

The dawn of the early 2000’s marked our first notable expansion, aimed at accommodating the increasing number of worshippers and fostering a sense of unity during Jumua’h prayers. Most recently, in 2018, we completed a significant expansion project with an investment of around £700,000. This endeavour was undertaken to ensure that our facilities can comfortably host congregants during Friday prayers and special events.

Today, the Tunbridge Wells Islamic Cultural Association stands as a beacon of hope and unity for the local Muslim populace, offering a warm and inclusive setting for worship, educational endeavours, and cultural pursuits. We take pride in our enriching journey and remain steadfast in our commitment to fulfilling the spiritual and social requirements of Muslims residing in Tunbridge Wells and its environs.
