Key Features:
* Personalized Learning with Personalized AI: Connect to any AI service or large language model (LLM) that aligns with your educational goals, security needs, privacy preferences, and budget.
* Parental Control: Parents can lock features such as access to solutions, encouraging kids to solve challenges independently and reduce over-reliance on instant answers.
* Learn from Mistakes: MaxTutor helps kids focus on understanding the areas where they’ve struggled by recording their mistakes. The app then generates targeted exercises and solutions based on those specific mistakes, reinforcing learning and minimizing repeated errors.
* Parent-Guided Learning: Support your child’s growth by assigning practice problems directly or generating new exercises with AI.
* User-Friendly Design: Effortlessly capture problems in text or images. Seamlessly Interact with AI in the background without interruptions. Easily export or share problems and solutions as PDF files.
* Available natively for Mac, iPhone, and iPad
Setup:
MaxTutor requires external LLM services to function. Users can configure the app via the settings page to select any external LLM service that supports standard LLM API protocols, such as those offered by Google Gemini or OpenAI. The app does not manage or assist with obtaining API tokens—whether free or paid. Instead, it depends on the user to provide a valid API token, server address, and model name. We recommend starting with a free-tier or trial plan from your chosen LLM provider before moving to more advanced models.
Note: A subscription to MaxTutor does not include free access to LLM services.
