Out comes The Meditating Dot. This app is a cluster-free meditation timer that helps you focus your attention on the “breathing dot” while it meditates with you. The idea is to make yourself transfixed by the dot, the anchor, and thereby clearing your mind. This is also a yoga practice called "trataka."
