Metlink On Demand is a public transport service which you can book, pay and ride around using an app.
This means you’re in charge, you say where you want to be picked up from and dropped off. There is no set route or timetable - it’s public transport based around your needs.

HOW DOES METLINK ON DEMAND WORK?
Metlink On Demand is an on-demand travel service that takes multiple passengers heading in the same direction and books them into a shared vehicle. Using the Metlink On Demand app, input your pick-up and destination and we’ll match you with a mini bus going your way.

HOW LONG WILL I WAIT?
You'll always get an accurate estimate of your pick up time before booking. You can also track your vehicle in real time in the app.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL I SHARE A VEHICLE WITH?
On-demand mini buses carry up to 17 people. Just like on other forms of public transport, the number of passengers you will share your journey with will vary. Sometimes this may be as few as 1 or 2, other times the vehicle may be full.
