Moby.Read Lite

Moby.Read is an app for early readers. It presents short, self-administered tests of oral reading
fluency. Moby.Read is voice-interactive and fully automated – administration, response capture,
scoring and reporting. Children in grades 1-5 get directions by video to read text passages
aloud, then retell the passages and answer questions. This current free sample version of
Moby.Read features an oral reading fluency assessment suitable for students in 2nd grade.
Students’ spoken responses are scored automatically on the device and are playable for
teacher review. The iPad will immediately score reading performances for reading level,
comprehension, expression, accuracy, and words correct per minute. The audio responses and
scores are available on Moby’s teacher pages.
Moby.Read works best on iPads, but also runs in iOS 11 on iPhones or iPods.
