App Store Description

Nobody’s money worries are insurmountable - there is help available out there for everyone. Download this App and let it lead you towards the right help for you!

Who is the App for?

We designed this app for people who are affected by welfare benefit cuts or other money worries. Professionals who support such people can also help them to use it. We hope it will make it easier to find the help you need, particularly in times of crisis.

How to use the app

There are four main sections in the App – Money, Housing & Bills, Work and Help Now. Select the one that seems most important in your situation, and then choose from a list of further options. Choose again and you will find the contact details to get the help you are looking for. Three or four easy touches of the screen should take you to live weblinks or phone numbers, connecting you to the services you need. If you don’t find what you want, or if you are in the wrong section, you can use the back arrow at the top or the buttons at the bottom of the screen to take you into a different section.

Who created the app?

A group of NHS Tayside Public Health staff developed the content with technical design and development by mtc media.

Developing this mobile app is part of the local action we are taking to help to reduce any negative health effects of welfare reform and other money problems on our patients, staff and local communities.

Scottish Government gave money to NHS Tayside for several projects to reduce the effects that welfare reform could have on health. We used some of that money to pay for this app.
