Motiv is the free mobile banking account that helps you build your credit score, and gives back to the community, at no extra cost to you. We help you avoid bank fees, budget your spending, and build your credit score, all from your phone.

Your Motiv account is a free, with no monthly fees, minimums, overdrafts or hidden fine print. It comes with a Motiv Visa® debit card and access to +25,000 zero-fee ATMs. Our app makes it easy to track your spending, transfer money to and from your accounts, order checks, and find ATMs to make free deposits and withdrawals. Your account can receive direct deposits, check reloads, and link to credit cards, recurring bills, payment apps, and other bank accounts.

When you set up a direct deposit to your account or spend $2,500 on your debit card, you're eligible for our free credit-building loan. The one-year loan is like a free savings plan that builds credit. You commit to how much you would like to save every month, and the app does the rest. We'll automatically transfer your monthly savings into your Motiv credit builder account for twelve months, and report the payments to the credit bureaus. At the end of the year, you can access everything you've saved, and will have a stronger credit profile. We don't charge fees or interest for the product, so it's a great way to build savings and your credit score all at once.

If your credit is strong, you can give your free loan to someone who joins Motiv through a non-profit and needs a hand strengthening their credit score. We partner with community organizations to bring free banking and credit-building to individuals and families that are stuck cashing checks and borrowing from payday lenders. We'll show you how the credit-building loans that you share are helping someone escape from these predatory financial services, save, and begin to build credit.
