The Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference is a non-profit organization dedicated to workers' compensation education and outreach. The MWCEA's Annual Conference allows employees, employers, medical and rehabilitation providers, insurance carriers, third party administrators, attorneys, service providers, and anyone with an interest in workers' compensation, to keep abreast of local state requirements.
The goal of the MWCEA Conference is to educate those who participate in Maryland and neighboring state's workers' compensation system regarding current rules, procedures, policies, and forms, and to create an opportunity for dialogue among these participants. Special speakers from each state give important information to the attendees. In turn, the conference participants have opportunities to meet agency staff and others who are active in the workers' compensation system and discuss possible changes.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All employers, insurance adjusters, self-insurers, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, attorneys representing claimants, the defense bar, paralegals, medical professionals, and vocational rehabilitation providers are encouraged to attend. In fact, anyone interested in the workers' compensation system will receive valuable information at the conference.
The MWCEA Conference offers an opportunity for exhibitors to make attendees aware of their services and products. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
