App Store Description

My Brain Retrieval App was created with the main aim being: “To develop a mobile application that can help individuals who are directly or indirectly affected by brain injury.”

Brian achieves this by:
• Encouraging a community of people affected by brain injury, which may include brain injury sufferers, or people who know (or are caring for) someone with a brain injury. The community can be communicated with via the Forum page, you can start by creating a post and introducing yourself. Posts can be scored by selecting the associated thumbs up or thumbs down buttons and can be replied to by selecting the post. The forum’s posts can be sorted by newest (most recent) or hottest (highest score), this can be toggled by selecting the sort button in the top left corner of the Forum page.
• Helping users keep on top of their life with the Diary page, which stores the user’s events online, and is also arguably simpler to use than the iPhone’s native calendar. An event can be added by selecting the button in the top right corner of the Diary page and filling out the New Event form, before again selecting the button in the top right corner of the page. The diary also allows users to send/receive events; this can be done by getting a user’s User Key (which can be found by selecting the button in the top left corner of the Diary page) and toggling the Share Event? switch within the New Event form and entering the key within the User Key field before adding the event. The User Key of the last user you sent an event to will be saved within the field for convenience, in case you would like to send another event to that user in the future. If you were to receive an event off of another user, the diary will update instantly automatically.

The application also includes other features to help achieve this aim, including:
• A brain training game intended to improve the user’s memory, and potentially aid their recovery.
• An FAQ page which may answer any questions the user may have.
• A Donate page to donate to the cause.
• A Ring Emergency Contact button, which will ring the user’s emergency contact.
• A Text Emergency Contact button, which will automatically text an SOS message to the user’s emergency contact.
