My Dementia Companion

WHY: Navigating the dementia journey is complex and is often described as ‘utter confusion’ and a ‘maze’.

WHAT: My Dementia Companion is the world’s first practical tool that guides people living with dementia, their carers and professionals through the dementia journey to live well and care well.

● The CARER version guides family/friend carers and people living with dementia on what to do, where to go and how to manage challenges at home. It maps their unique dementia journey and gives them bite-sized suggestions that are carefully curated and practical. This includes videos, checklists, subsidies, entitlements and tips from other carers.

● The PRO version helps care professionals to deliver best practice dementia care on the go, whilst saving time, improving care and increasing compliance. Within a few clicks they can respond to ad hoc needs instantly, care plan with confidence or guide clients through their entire dementia journey easily.

RECOGNITION: It is featured on My Aged Care, Department of Health, Dementia Australia, Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN), Carers Gateway, NSW Government, Carers Victoria, Dementia Support Australia, various Primary Health Networks (PHN) and Dementia Alliances. We were generously funded by Dementia Australia, Arcare Family Foundation, Telematics Trust, Collier Charitable Fund, University of Melbourne’s MAP, Mable and Wicking Trust.

GOVERNMENT FUNDING AND FREE TRIALS: The CARER has a 60 day free trial, costs less than a cup of coffee a month and can be funded under the Home Care Package, NDIS and Carer Gateway. The PRO has a 30 day free trial and you can make back your money after one use a month.
