myFoodTruck is a social network based Food Truck Tracker. The app will appeal to both Food Truck Owners and Food Truck Followers.

Food Truck owners can post their truck's current location to the App's social network. The Food Truck owner can identify the truck, include a link to the Truck’s website and identify the Truck’s Food specialty. Furthermore, the owner also can create and post a short (up to 15 second) video about his truck and its food.

Food Truck Followers can not only track what Food Trucks are currently available along with their current location, but they can also publish Food Truck gatherings or MeetUps to the Apps social network. Once a MeetUp has been published, anyone who comes to a MeetUp can also add to the MeetUps Likes.

In the screen’s upper right hand corner is an icon for unlocking the ability to permanently post a Food Truck to the App’s social network. Truck owners Note: The App comes with a 30 day free trial and after that, it requires In-App purchasing ($1.99) for the function to remain available. The App will always allow the app user to track Food Trucks and post MeetUps.

The app uses GPS to monitor and track trucks' location. Tests during development show that battery usage decreases by 3 - 5% for every hour that the app is in use. Note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life
