What is Nashfolk?
NashFolk is your good friend in the hunt for your dream home.

As a home buyer, it is easy to feel confused, stressed and alone. While the home seller has a real estate agent on his side, you have little help and support as a home buyer.
We at Nashfolk have therefore created this app, a platform that will give you insight into the housing market, how many people are interested in the same homes as you, and which homes you have the best chance of winning in a bidding round.

Our goal is to help you have a less stressful house hunt by letting you focus on the bidding rounds where you have a good opportunity to win.

Nashfolk is based on John Forbes Nash's Nobel Prize-winning development of game theory. His theory inspired us, and we believe it can help you in your quest for your dream home! The goal is that all home buyers will make as good choices as possible as a group so that no one will subsequently regret their own strategy. Then we can all experience the house hunt as it should be, an exciting time filled with hope, excitement, and joy, where we all save time, money and energy!

House prices increased by approx. 60% from 2010 to 2019 and we Norwegians are taking more and more loans to pay more and more for the dream home. Statistically, this price increase does not benefit us, but the banks and real estate agents. According to the Consumer Council, the real estate agent's methods put pressure on you as a buyer. The rushed process means that the dream home is easily snatched away by someone else.

And who has been on your side in this stressful house hunt? No one. But now we are here!

How does it work?
1. Fill in the information: equity and loan amount and upload your bank letter. Make sure the information matches your bank letter. This information will of course not be visible to users other than yourself.
2. Choose the homes you like and want to bid on. Nashfolk lets you choose up to 5 different homes.
3. Find your financial ranking among other potential buyers who are interested in the same homes as you. If you are ranked number 1, you have the greatest chance of winning a bidding round for this home. This allows you to focus on the bidding rounds where you have the best chance of winning your dream home.
