National Artisan Portal is a one-stop-platform for all government programmes and services for artisans across the country. It provides comprehensive, accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information on various central government policies, schemes and services to benefit over 7 million Indian artisans. The artisans can apply for and avail various services online through the portal. Going beyond being just a medium for one-way communication, the portal also lets artisans and other stakeholders to interact with government, give feedback, and lodge grievances if any. The National Artisan Portal is an initiative of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, which is the nodal agency of the Ministry of Textiles for the welfare of Indian artisans/craftspersons.
