It is a unique and homogenous database served for entire country with essential database elements for addressing emergency/disaster management in the country. NRSC/ISRO established a state-of-art facility with structured framework and multi-institutional participation to assist the disaster managers of all States/UTs for preparedness, hazard/risk zonation, damage assessment, and emergency response at the behest of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.

It is a unique and homogenous database served for entire country with essential database elements for addressing emergency/disaster management in the country. NRSC/ISRO established a state-of-art facility with structured framework and multi-institutional participation to assist the disaster managers of all States/UTs for preparedness, hazard/risk zonation, damage assessment, and emergency response at the behest of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.
To support disaster management field officials, a portable and compatible mobile app is developed on iOS platforms. NDEM mobile app provides real-time disaster data and geospatial tools to the officials during relief and rescue operations on the field. It connects disaster response teams and control room officials for real time information sharing.
Major functionalities of NDEM Lite are, Pan India disaster scenario map - for analyzing current disaster scenario of all the natural disaster in the country. Near real time and forecast data of national forecasting organizations such as National Remote Sensing Centre, India Meteorological Department, Central Water Commission, National Centre for Seismology, Defense Geo-informatics Research Centre, Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services for addressing disasters efficiently.
