NearConnect

NearConnect helps you discover people near you! Use the global chat feature to access a group chat of everybody near you. Want to keep in touch with someone? Simply send them a request, or scan their QR code to add them as a friend! NearConnect is designed to help you find people nearby that you can later connect with on iMessage, built into every iPhone.

Features:

* Open source: All code is fully open source, available at https://github.com/yrahul3910/socialqr
* Privacy-focused: No data is collected about you, ever. There is no server to "phone home" to. Your details are only shared with people near you if you consent by accepting a request or showing them your QR code.
* Global chat: A group chat with everybody near you. Say hello! The group chat is dynamic--if the people near you change, they are automatically added or removed.
* Private messaging: When you accept a friend request, you can message them privately, but only if they are within range! Away from your friends? Tap their phone number to be transferred to iMessage to continue your conversation.
