NearMinder is a geolocation app that helps you find nearby points of interest, events, places, and meetups. It can also give you custom alerts when you are near a certain place, helping you to always remember to use that rewards card or pick up milk when you're near a grocery store.

Create your own NearMinder. With NearMinder, you can set custom alerts to show up when you arrive at a location. For example, you could configure NearMinder to remind you to use your RewardsZone card whenever you arrive at Best Buy. You could also set a NearMinder to buy milk any time you are at a grocery store.

Events listings made easy. NearMinder integrates with many different events databases, so you can quickly and easily find out what's happening around you. Get a list of concerts and other events, and tap on them for more information. You can even get a link to the ticketing site for the event.

Find points of interest. You don't have to worry about missing out on an exciting place to visit, since NearMinder can display a list and map of the points of interest around you. Drawing information from Wikipedia and other sources, the app gives you a map to the point of interest along with a description. You can tap through to sources like Wikipedia for even more information.

Find Meetups. NearMinder also integrates with Meetup, a source for finding great groups of like-minded people to socialize and network with. Browse through the list of Meetups, and get more information on them by tapping their listings. Each one also shows up on the map, so you can easily find your way.

Why we love it

NearMinder has a great set of integrations, from Yelp to concert ticketing sites to Wikipedia. It even integrates with Meetup, allowing you to find just about anything that might be happening around you. If you don't know where a point of interest, place, meetup, or concert is happening, you can just tap on the pin on the map to get directions directly from the Maps app. The custom NearMinder feature is especially handy.

NEARBY EVENTS – Never miss out on an event of interest happening nearby.

A list of events happening nearby is shown in the list below the map. Tap an event in the list to get full event details and to see it as a pin on the map. Tap the pin and then tap the info pop-up to show walking or driving directions on a map.

Tap the Search icon to enter a description of any specific type of event that you are interested in, such as Music, Art, or a named event or performer.

For some events, full ticket ordering info is also available via the link at the end of the Event description. Just tap the link if you'd like to reserve your spot or purchase tickets for paid events.

NEARBY MEETUPS – Never miss out on a Meetup of interest happening nearby.

A list of Meetups happening nearby is shown in the list below the map.

Tap the Search icon next to that to enter a description of any specific type of Meetup that you are interested in, such as Music, Art, etc.

Full sign-up info is also available by tapping the link at the end of the Meetup description if you'd like to reserve your spot at the Meetup.
