Unlike typical chat apps, NearTalk is intentionally limited to English letters, numbers, and symbols. Any unsupported content is filtered for safety. This ensures no images, videos, files, or emojis are ever transmitted—making it ideal for environments where simplicity and control matter most.

Even while running in the background, NearTalk continues to silently receive messages with no alerts or sounds, offering a unique low-distraction experience.

How It Works:

Launch the App:
Connect two or more devices to the same Wi-Fi network (e.g., 192.168.x.x).

Set Username:
Enter a username and tap Set Username to appear online.

Scan for Users:
Use the Scan Users button to discover others on the LAN.

Start a Chat:
Tap a detected user to open a private chat. Type your message and send.

Stay Connected in the Background:
Continue receiving messages without interruption or noise, even when multitasking.

Disconnect Anytime:
End the session and return to the user list with a single tap.
