Our mission is to revitalize and restore the great holy places of Shakyamuni Buddha, Guru Padmasambhava and other great masters by providing online resources, print publications and practical experience - so that today's practitioners can follow in the footsteps of past masters and bring their Blessings for the way.

An initiative of Samye Translations, the Nekhor app was developed with one simple purpose in mind: to connect today's practitioners with the extraordinary life and accomplishments of Buddha Shakyamuni, Guru Padmasambhava and other masters who followed in his path. Out of this came an interest in the actual places where these awakened guides practiced, and a desire to make them more widely known—both to longtime practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism and newcomers alike.
