Having entered your NHS number you will subsequently be able to display it immediately with one tap. Typing errors will generally be detected since the number contains a check digit.
If you do not know your number you will be able to find it on a prescription or other NHS document. If not ask your surgery.
A barcode is also displayed that is able to be read by suitable equipment.
When running the app. or displaying the number no data is transmitted anywhere so complete privacy is maintained.
