The Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) was enacted in 2015 with the objective of fast-tracking criminal trials and ultimately decongesting the prison population.
The Civil Society Observatory on the implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice in Nigeria was inaugurated by CLEEN Foundation and working closely with the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC), the Observatory strives to drive advocacy and continuously monitor the implementation of the ACJA 2015 both at State and Federal levels, drawing attention to violations/challenges as well as the responses and action of the implementing agencies.
As part of efforts to promote the effective implementation of the ACJA 2015, this ACJA Mobile App has been designed by the Observatory to ease accessibility of citizens to the ACJA 2015 and also to track the passage Administration of Criminal Justice Laws (ACJL) by States in Nigeria.
This project is sponsored by CLEEN Foundation with support from MacArthur Foundation.
