Fort Union National Monument has partnered with OnCell to build the park’s first mobile app! This app contains more than 20 points of interest with, GPS-enabled maps and engaging content highlighting historic and cultural features of the park and surrounding valley. It also includes a full stop-by-stop tour of the park grounds, using photos, multiple perspectives, and stories allowing visitors and armchair travelers alike opportunities to explore the remnants of the old fort and Santa Fe Trail. Discover the impactful history during the four decades when Fort Union functioned as an agent of both political and cultural change in New Mexico and throughout the Southwest. Fort Union promoted and secured commerce along the Santa Fe Trail, and was the largest 19th century fort in the region. Visitors can stay up-to-date on events and programs happening in the park throughout the year with schedules and links to the park’s website and Facebook page.
