NREMT is a national agency that caters to establish standards for training and educating personnel who are active in the delivery of emergency medical services. Earlier there were times when no standard training or certifications were available for professionals involved in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). When patents were sick or injured no one had a formal set of procedures that had to be provided. Many patients were either temporarily or permanently disabled because of the lack of knowledge about the first-aid treatment that had to be provided during Emergency Medical Services. NREMT bridges this gap.
