The OBODM app calculates the gas and particle dispersion due to open burning or open detonation of old and obsolete munitions

OBODM2

by Kurt Gramoll

What is it about?

The OBODM app calculates the gas and particle dispersion due to open burning or open detonation of old and obsolete munitions. The program is modeled on the original OBODM program distributed by the US EPA that only executes on older 16-bit DOS operating system computers. The upgraded OBODM2 program can be run from any stylus-based iPad tablet. The large number of options and input grids limit the size of the mobile device to 8 inches or larger. The input parameters include Receptors locations, Source type and location, and Meteorological data. The program can save input and output files in an online database at www.obodm.com. The complex calculations are also done at the HPC Engineering cluster at the Univ. of Oklahoma to minimize the calculation time. There is NO file sharing between users. All files saved at www.obodm.com are for the convenience of the user and can be deleted at any time. No files are shared by anyone at anytime.
