As someone who has lived and is living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) for many years, I understand firsthand the mental loops that can keep us stuck. Whether it’s "magic" rituals, ruminating or any of the many different ways that OCD can trap us in repetitive thoughts and behaviors, wasting precious time.

I’ve come to the believe that the faster we can "check off" an intrusive and not helpful thought or behavior in our minds and move on, the better. It saves us time, energy, and peace of mind. That’s the idea behind this app: creating a simple, physical ritual by drawing a checkmark. Scientific research supports the power of rituals in helping us feel more in control of our thoughts and behaviors. Studies show that when we perform rituals, the brain creates associations that help solidify new patterns of behavior.

This app is designed to support you in breaking the OCD cycle by reinforcing the act of checking things off—literally. Each time you feel stuck in an obsessive behavior and/or a thought loop, you can physically draw a checkmark, signaling physically and visually to your brain that it's checked off and that it is time to move on.
The app counts how many situations you've "checked off" in a day, allowing you to reflect on your progress. Over time, you can see your successes add up and use that as motivation when new challenges arise. For example, after using the app, you might see that you've already moved on from 50 situations—so why not this one too?

This simple tool is here to help you regain control, boost your confidence, and celebrate the small victories that come with letting go. Start creating a habit of moving forward, one checkmark at a time.
Check it off!
