Ohio Valley Pride

With the Ohio Valley Pride mobile app, you will be able to receive important notifications and stay informed about all events including the Pride Festival each May at Heritage Port.

Ohio Valley Pride is a local 501(c)(3) organization that exists to educate, communicate, and help protect LGBTQ+ persons from oppression, ridicule, and abuse. We are dedicated to creating a more positive, safe, and inclusive community where all are welcome. Our group’s purpose is to promote cooperation and understanding among all people; develop a welcoming community space; promote well-being and human rights for all; and work to end prejudice and discrimination. We are working toward these goals by performing educational services and community outreach; promoting positive images of LGBTQ+ persons; and building and sharing a network of information and resources.

Most importantly, we are proud to sponsor the only local Pride Festival each May at Heritage Port. This has become our signature event, and it brings together a wonderfully diverse group of people each year to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the greater Wheeling community as a whole.
