The Old Black Horse is a traditional country pub and kitchen located in Mapperley Village on the edge of Shipley Country Park in Derbyshire. Using fresh local ingredients, we serve delicious dishes from our menus and specials board 6 days a week, including our famous ‘Carvery’ Sunday lunches. We are a ‘Free House’ which means we are completely independent and not tied to any brewery, allowing us to bring you a great selection of drinks from all over the world, including local real ales, specialist gins, and international wines.
