What is it about?

A unidirectional Icelandic to English labour market glossary, with sentence examples, for trade union representatives, advisory staff and foreign employees, made from parallel corpus of translation of Icelandic collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and other labour market documents. The Icelandic source words in the word pairs are as in running text, i.e., including inflections for case, gender, number and definite article. The reason for using these forms is that the most numerous target group, foreign employees, will tend to search by the form of the word as it appears in the text of the CBA. If the word is in the Icelandic CBA then it will show up in a search in the app. Work is underway on including Polish, which can hopefully be added as an upgrade. The plan is then to design a new version that will allow a search in the other direction.
