App Store Description

At the heart of the Paintracker App is the unique multi sensory “Pain Slider” which uses a mix of graphics, sound and haptics of the iPhone to allow patients to better communicate to their treating doctors the severity and intensity of pain they may be experiencing following surgery.

The App also incorporates a novel  “Electronic Blister Pack” which patients use to record when they take prescribed analgesics. The data collected by the Pain Slider and Electronic Blister Pack is collected realtime by the App and communicated via a secure database to their treating physician who can monitor progress of patients postoperative pain experience and analgesic use and intervene proactively if needed.
Use of the App improves patient safety by limiting the chance of excessive analgesic use but at the same time ensuring patients remain comfortable in the initial postoperative period.

This free App continues to be evaluated in clinical trials undertaken by Enlighten Health and improvements made according to evidence-based principles.
