The reasoning being that this is the way humans evolved to eat, and we have not evolved yet to match our modern processed food laden diets. It is essentially a low carb, low to medium fat, and high protein diet.

The Paleo lifestyle encourages you to avoid the pitfalls of modern living by reducing stress, engaging & supporting the community, staying active, getting out into nature, and respecting the body's internal clock.

The diet is based on avoiding not just modern processed foods, but rather the foods that humans began eating after the Neolithic Revolution. It eliminates grains (thus gluten), legumes (beans, lentils, and peanuts), pasteurized and homogenized dairy (some will drink raw dairy), corn, soy and sugar.

In place of those, grass-fed meat, wild fish and seafood, pastured eggs, vegetables, nuts & seeds, limited fruit and healthy fats are eaten.

This is a NO-BS guide to the Paleo Diet. Other guides have poor quality information and terrible grammar. We personally researched all of the most accurate and scientific info, and collected it in this App.
