Pathways by Ethos

Pathways by Ethos Sustainability Solutions is a mobile application that allows users to measure, track, and improve their carbon footprint. Users begin by taking a baseline quiz that determines their current carbon footprint. Based on their existing footprint, users are presented with suggested targets to aim for in lowering their impact on the planet. These include aligning with the Paris Climate agreement, the 1.5 degree Celsius world, and carbon neutrality by a date of their choosing.

Users are then given access to hundreds of actions, from which they can choose those that best fit with their lifestyles. All the actions are designed to lower each user’s carbon footprint, without costing an exorbitant amount of money. All of the chosen actions are then combined into each user’s unique sustainability action plan, which they can use to guide their decision making to ensure they live a lower carbon life.

Users also can track their sustainability over time. By entering the changes they make in their daily lives into the tracking section of the app, user’s can ensure that they are lowering their footprint over time.

Finally, the Pathways app contains social functionality allowing users to form groups with their friends and family. Through friendly competition and collaborative idea sharing, user’s can further improve their carbon footprint by encouraging others to join them on a Pathway to Sustainable living.
