App Store Description

One Dating App – Two Modes – Two Different Matching Experiences.

There are two types of people on a dating app, those looking for a relationship and those looking for something a little more ‘casual’.

The issue that no other dating app has yet solved, is that these two extremely different types of daters are swiping on each other, conversating with each other and wasting each other’s time.

Peard has solved this – One App – Two Modes – Two Different types of Daters.

After signing into Peard, you will be asked to follow the prompts and decide on which Mode you will be using (don’t worry, you can toggle the modes at any-time), you will choose between the Relationship Mode or the Casual Mode.

The modes are completely separate from each other, with separate chat functions, separate profile options and a separate user experience.

Those on the Relationship mode will be asked to fill out a more in-depth profile, those on the Casual mode – well, an in-depth profile isn’t really necessary.

No more awkward conversations about what your dating intentions are, everyone on each mode will know why you are there.

There is no point for someone with casual intentions to be on the relationship mode and vice-versa. They would just be wasting their time when they can easily match with people looking for exactly what they are after.

How Peard is different:

• Compatibility Bar & Advanced Algorithm
• Credit System
• Two Modes

Peard uses a ‘compatibility bar’ to match users to each other. There are 4 possible sections which you can place on the bar to indicate how ‘compatible’ you are with the other user.
Sections 3 and 4 indicate that you are interested in matching with them, the higher/lower you place the other user on the compatibility bar indicates to our algorithm your preferences.

The algorithm then learns what type of user you are interested in, based on their profile(s), and will attempt to match you with future people you are more likely to be compatible with. These people will be shown to you first over those which the algorithm thinks are incompatible.

The Credit System – Peard uses a CREDIT SYSTEM to change the routine endless swiping until your index finger develops arthritis and turn it into something that you must focus on. Each time you swipe, or in the case of Peard we slide, on a new user you gain 1 Credit.

Once you match with a new user, to ‘unlock’ the connect/conversation feature with them you must use 3 of those Credits. Use your credits wisely. Credits are also used for other functions within the application.

Two Modes – if you are looking for a Relationship, our improved algorithm, our refined profiles and the promise of actually matching with someone who is not looking for a one-night-stand is enough for Peard to become your one and only dating app.

If you are looking for something Casual, that is fine too, it is nothing to be ashamed about this is the 21st century – but we all know, every pure casual dating app out there is a little gross and embarrassing to download. Does anyone actually want their friends/ mom to see them using a hook-up only app – avoid embarrassment – they will never know if you are on there for a relationship or something casual.

The best thing about Peard – preferences will change, you can toggle between the modes – if you are a relationship seeker drunk on a Friday Night, looking to mix it up for something more casual – it is as simple as the flick of a switch. And the same goes for you Casual ‘moders’ – eventually, we all end up chasing something more stable.

Now, happy hunting and Get Sliding, not Swiping.
