Penelope is an App for exploring a wealth of data on planetary and constellation movement from 1940 to 2031. It is an astronaut's view from outside our galaxy looking in.
The app can be used as an aid to interpreting life's events, your emotional layout and nature's quirks, often best in hindsight, but with good comprehension in foresight too. As you look at the layout of planets and constellations, think about the things in your life that match the timing of planets coming close to each other or planets within a constellation. Some of the strongest events in life are often associated with planets being aligned or planets going into retrograde. Think about the moon's shift through the constellations for short term patterns, the sun too, and longer term cycles found as the planets roll on through the sky. Think about the past too, significant upheavals in life and explore the planetary layout at that time to better understand you.
Online astrology resources can be very helpful in understanding general patterns of emotional response to certain planets, but should be considered with care as they are not universally consistent. It's always about you in the end, as everyone begins with a unique character setup and only some commonalities apply. So do your homework and pay attention to yourself. Penelope will help you understand yourself as you think about how you respond to changes around you.
You can also employ Penelope to look up your birth date and discover your correct star sign and planetary map, that starting character setup. Your star sign is identified as the constellation that the sun is passing through at the time of your birth. Due to changes in the Earth’s spin the date when the sun passes through each constellation is no longer the same as those defined by the Babylonians approximately 2500 years ago, which are the most commonly used time spans in most media. Even updated time brackets that have been posted on the internet to define the births of the last century will be a day out or so, as this is constantly changing a little. You may find that the star sign you once thought you were is incorrect.
From before the Babylonians and to today, thousands of years of observation have found that planetary movements affect us and the environment in partly understandable yet complex ways. While we do not yet understand the physics of these impacts, more recent ideas suggest that planets affect our health and environmental systems through gravity waves. For health, as a gravity wave passes us, it causes a vibration in the blockages in our energy system. This energy system being collectively known as Meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine. These vibrations then influence the emotional choices we make and may be the basis for disease. Where all disease is caused by emotional blocks.
Science has yet to pull this apart, largely because these planetary affects change over time as humans change, and because they are not consistent across all humans. The affects of the moon have been proven to be statistically not significant, yet everybody suspects that the moon affects mental health and menstrual cycles. This may be because the combination of these affects have changed over time and the difficulty in measuring the moon's affect on certain personality types or population subgroups. In Astrology there are twelve basic personality types. These twelve types are defined by the position of the sun in the constellations, which is the strongest affect on personality type and which cycles in a yearly way. Other planetary and location affects may relate to monthly to decadal to century time scales given the faster or slower shift of other planets through other star groups, marking changes in life or generations of humans. Changes that define patterns such as the 1950's hairdos, to a shift from feudalism to capitalism.
