ABOUT PHMUSEUM

Launched in 2012 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, PhMuseum is a platform dedicated to exploring contemporary photography and visual language. Among the pioneers of online exhibitions (2013) and remote education (2017), over the years it has developed a series of prestigious photographic awards and collaborated with organizations such as Vogue Italia, TIME and World Press Photo. Max Pinckers, Diana Markosian, Tomas Van Houtryve, and Laura El-Tantawy are among the winners of the past editions, while Martin Parr (Magnum Photos), Kathy Ryan (New York Times), Roger Ballen (Photographer), and Sarah Leen (National Geographic) among the former jurors.

More recently, the project moved to Bologna, Italy, and opened the PhMuseum Lab (2020), an exhibition and educational space where international artists engage with the local community. In the same city, it further presented the PhMuseum Days (2021), an international photography festival aimed as an annual gathering for the network of people who enjoy the platform and an occasion to share the visual culture with a greater audience.
