A picnic adventure in one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s oldest outports, Port de Grave’s Picnic on the Peninsula promises scenic views with stories of special places told by locals and opportunities for more to explore.



You’ll start your adventure at the Cannon Richard’s Tea Room, where you can pick up your picnic and receive a code to unlock the app. Once downloaded, use the app to guide you to one of three picnic destinations where you’ll have access to local stories unique to your location.



Port de Grave Harbour - Perched on a hill overlooking the Port de Grave harbour, the Harbour Authority picnic area offers scenic views of the coast and fishing vessels docked below.



Ship Cove Pond - Alongside the main road is Ship Cove Pond, a popular swimming area and where you’ll also find two shalloways available to rent for a row.



Green Point Lighthouse - At the tip of the Port de Grave Peninsula, the historic Green Point Lighthouse offers a picnic area beside the sea with views of the surrounding coastlines.



Cannon Richard’s Tearoom is located on Main Rd. in Bareneed, on the Port de Grave Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador.
