PIKBASH is a social media app designed to bring back authenticity and spontaneity in the way people connect and share their lives. Instead of focusing on endless scrolling, PIKBASH revolves around real experiences captured as they happen. At its core, PIKBASH is built around events and prompts that inspire people to take part in the moment.

'Dailys' are events which are shared across entire countries. Every country gets one Daily Event each day, lasting 24 hours. At a random time, PIKBASH sends out a Daily Prompt that includes a short piece of text and an image. These prompts are generated by the system and often inspired by national holidays, cultural highlights, or international themes. When the notification arrives, everyone in the country gets the same challenge at the same moment. The idea is simple: pause, look around, and capture a picture of what’s happening in your life right then and there. It could be ordinary, it could be extraordinary, but it will always be real. Daily Events give entire communities a shared story to tell, unique to their culture and everyday life.

'Moments' are user-created events that can last as long as the creator wants - an hour, a day, a week, or even longer. Moments are flexible enough to capture almost anything. They can be small, like friends hanging out at a café, or large, like a birthday party, a football match, or a music festival. Inside a Moment, creators can enable Moment Prompts. These prompts work just like Daily Prompts, but with one important difference: they are fully customizable. The creator decides what the text and image should be, giving them full control over the theme of the challenge. When a Moment Prompt is triggered, everyone who joined the Moment receives the notification at the same time, sparking real-time contributions and shared memories.

To make Moments even more authentic, PIKBASH includes a feature called Location Lock. With Location Lock, creators can restrict participation to people within a chosen radius. That means if you’re hosting a street performance, a local meetup, or a private party, only people who are physically nearby can join and add their pictures. This feature ensures that contributions remain tied to the actual event and community, fostering genuine connections between people who are truly sharing the same space.

PIKBASH is more than just posting pictures - it’s also about interaction and fun. Every picture uploaded to a prompt can be scored by other users on a scale from 0 to 100. This creates a playful and competitive way to see who captured the best picture for that particular prompt. Over time, these scores let people compare their creativity with others, adding a new layer of engagement to the experience.
