It's easy to eye-ball the plaster/water ratio using the island method when making an uncritical plaster piece, such as for the bottom of a wetbox. However, when making multi-part molds or a series of identical molds, the ratio is more critical to ensure consistency in the resulting ceramic piece.

Key Features:
Calculate the volume of your plaster need based on the dimensions of the most common forms in centimeters, inches, or feet. Forms include square/rectangle (cuboid), cylinder, sphere/half-sphere, pyramid (3 and 4 sided), and cone, as-well-as allowing you to enter an already known volume amount.
Additionally, can calculate the volume of a void space in the plaster mold, such as when making a mold from an existing object, the volume of which will be removed from the main volume.

Allows measurement of plaster and water in pounds/ounces and kilograms/grams, the default can be changed in the Settings.

Calculates a typical volume reduction of 20% (as recommended by some sources). This value can be changed between 0 (no adjustment) and 35%, the default value can be changed in the Settings.

Provides plaster weight variations -/+5 points from the standard consistency for the plaster. For example, the standard consistency of #1 Pottery Plaster is 70, variations are provided from 65 to 75 supplying the plaster amount needed for that consistency.
