What is it about?
Poetic Hybrids is a companion app for an ongoing art project by Seattle artists Ginny Ruffner and Grant Kirkpatrick. For each performance of Poetic Hybrids, gallery visitors were invited to create drawings from a selection of words, and their drawings were passed on to a team of artists who created 3D models based off of the drawings. Finally, these models were processed through Unity to be viewable as Augmented Reality Sculptures on smartphones and tablets.
