Power Of Prayers

The Power of Prayer app is designed to give users the ability to reach out to the online community with prayer requests and have them answered by real people who care enough to actually send a prayer in return to their request.

Brian Lamar, the founder, and creator of Power of Prayer began the project in the hopes to build a platform to help people in need.

The idea for Power of Prayer came to Brian when he was waiting in the operating room lobby to go in for an emergency surgery. He was scared and reached out to a religious friend he knew. The friend messaged a video of him praying for Brian. Brian immediately felt a calm, peaceful feeling. "It was great to have the confirmation that someone in the world cared enough to pray for me," said Brian Lamar.

The format for Power of Prayer is simple. Users make a profile, which acts as a repository for their personal prayer requests. Users go on and take a selfie video requesting prayer for whatever they are concerned about. Other users can then respond to the prayer request by sending a video of them praying for the requestor.

In the days of so much online negativity, Brian hopes that Power of Prayer will bring peace, comfort, and healing to anyone willing to use the app.
