PPE Finder

The provision of PPE (personal protective equipment) is a legal requirement in the UK but the selection of the right equipment can often be perceived as complicated, particularly in a market that has a vast range of products and brands.

The uvex PPE finder app is designed to quickly and easily help individuals identify the right product for the job (having completed an appropriate risk assessment).

The app uses pre-defined filters to help narrow the results relating to the type of work place environment, activities or protection class; individuals are presented with a choice of uvex product/s which best suit their requirements. The app will also tell the user where their nearest stockiest is, based on their current GPS location.

For example, tap 'product search', select the required product category, for instance, eyewear, (taps eyewear) the usage (taps general use), the working environment (taps normal light), then make a selection based on the results (taps pheos). To purchase, simply tap 'buy from nearest store' and local distributors will appear.

Products can be located by name or article number via the search box facility on the home page and product information can be sent to the user or a colleague as a reminder.
 
Other features include uvex’s bestsellers where the user will find information on uvex’s most popular products. There is a section that explains uvex product technologies. A full distributor database enables the user to access all distributors with a trade counter which they can visit or an online shop facility.
 
The App will assist the user in the selection of the correct product for the job at hand ensuring maximum safety and minimum fuss.
