Patients diagnosed with peritoneal carcinomatosis have to go through a treatment journey marked with a lot of change in their preferences and perceptions on its course. Starting from as minimal of relief of pain from disease and to be able to just eat a mouthful without pain to being let go of peacefully because of the worsening symptoms of progressive disease.
However, from a doctor's perspective, things are only measured in terms of disease free survival, or overall survival and finally to think of the quality of life.
The discussion between the caregiver and the caretaker and the interpretation of each other's words makes a huge difference in decision-making for the management of the disease. 

This app helps us capture each one's point of view at different points in time during the treatment, helps in knowing the patients' and treating surgeons' perceptions and preferences on the treatment proposed or received.
The treatment options in peritoneal carcinomatosis specially HIPEC and PIPAC need to be evaluated from a patient's point of view more than ever now. Since there has been increasing evidence for the same for the treatment of disease.

Through this app we capture the patient and surgeon's perception and preferences regarding the treatment options for peritoneal carcinomatosis as and when they go through this journey of healing.
