To security professionals: The PrecisionAccess iOS application is designed to be used with Vidder PrecisionAccess, representing the next generation access control based on a breakthrough security architecture called Software Defined Perimeter (SDP). With PrecisionAccess, trusted users from your extended enterprise can see and access only the enterprise application(s) they need in order to get their job done using their iOS device.
The iOS device is a component of Vidder’s easy to deploy, easy to use multifactor authentication (MFA). This MFA initiates a mutually trusted, on-demand connection between any of these users and his/her authorized applications, allowing Vidder to protect your organization from credential theft, server exploitation, and connection hijacking. The bottom line benefit is that Vidder ensures your organization business and IT agility while reducing threats and costs.
The PrecisionAccess iOS application is used with an active enterprise subscription to Vidder’s PrecisionAccess product.
PrecisionAccess features:
• Transparent MFA: A multifactor authentication mechanism that combines Single Packet Authorization (one time password), mutual TLS and device fingerprinting to maximize a user’s access to his/her application(s) without sacrificing user experience.
• Server Isolation: The default firewall rules on the Gateway begin as “Deny All.” The firewall is only opened after extensive device and user authentication have succeeded.
• Mutual Trust: PrecisionAccess establishes mutual trust between all connections by utilizing Single Packet Authorization and mutual TLS, which includes the client-to-server connections.
• Secure Remote Access: PrecisionAccess provides a way for users to obtain secure remote access to a limited set of servers. This “pinhole” style access provides connectivity to only authorized services.
