Developed by researchers at Western Sydney University, Prepare2Perform enables athletes, coaches and trainers to track their training and competition workloads, and logs injuries and illnesses to a database accessed by all relevant stakeholders. Using techniques adopted at the highest level of academic research and elite sports-industry practice, the application tracks progress in training volumes and intensities and collects daily information about the athlete's wellbeing and any issues that may affect the training plan. The app is specifically designed for those athletes who commonly train and compete with different squads (i.e. club, representative, national) and enhances communication between coaches and trainers to inform the appropriate scheduling and prescription of sports training and competition.
