Pro Vocab Crossword

Pro Vocab Crossword is an advanced-level crossword puzzle application consisting of over 700 crosswords designed to help users improve their vocabulary for exams like GRE, GMAT, CAT, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL and other similar tests.

These crosswords feature advanced English vocabulary often found in academic environments. The words used are commonly encountered in graduate-level verbal tests and examinations.

The purpose of these puzzles is to help users improve their vocabulary in an engaging and fun way. By solving these crosswords, users can expand their knowledge of advanced English words and prepare for academic tests.

Pro Vocab Crossword has multiple novel and highly interactive features:

1. Three level of clues, based on their difficulty, for each word in each crossword

2. Each crossword has a passage which includes all the words in that crossword. Odd numbered crossword's passage uses all the words in the crossword. Reading odd numbered crossword's passage helps user recall the words. Even numbered crossword's passage also include those words but are shown as blanks with the corresponding clue numbers. Even numbered crossword's passage provides the user additional and contextual clues. Passages in both the formats help the user in knowing how to use those words.

3. A user can reveal:
a) A character in a cell
b) All characters of a word
c) Characters of all half filled cells - A half filled cell is a cell which is filled by only one word either along a row or a column.

4. Scores: Maximum score, user's score and percentage are also given. After every word is filled correctly, a user gets a point for each correct character filled by the user. There is no point for a revealed character.

5. Users can resume solving the crosswords from the point they had previously left off.

6. Users can clear and restart any crossword puzzle.
