App Store Description

The Progress Panda is a client progress and alliance monitoring system for individual clients and couples. The progress measure used on the individual side of the app is the WHO-5 Well-Being Index, which has been extensively established as a valid and reliable measure (see https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25831962). The satisfaction measure on the couple side of the app is the CSI-4, which is a valid and reliable measure of couple functioning (see Funk & Rogge (2007)).

The Alliance measure on both the individual and couple sides of the app is based on Self Determination Theory (see http://selfdetermination.org). The theory is composed of three core constructs: Relatedness, Autonomy, and Competency, all of which are clinically necessary for clients to maximize the benefits of therapy. The measure doesn’t have an established cut-off score but is, rather, intended to be used to enhance conversations between therapists and clients related to the alliance and structure of therapy.

This app is intended to be used in a way that honors the competency and autonomy of individual clinicians. So whether clinicians use one of the measures or all of the measures and whether the measures are given every session or every few sessions, our goal is to offer a system that fits the individual needs, models, and values of each clinicians.
