Project 305

What is it about?
The Project 305 app allows you to participate in the collaborative community project launched by the New World Symphony, the Knight Foundation and MIT Media Lab. Composer Ted Hearne and filmmaker Jonathan David Kane will work with residents to capture the sights and sounds of Miami’s unique environment. With this app you will be able to record, characterize and upload special sounds and videos you capture throughout Miami-Dade County. Using as many materials as possible that you submit, Hearne and Kane, together with New World Symphony Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas, will compose “Project 305,” which will premiere on October 21, 2017 at the New World Center in Miami Beach, performed by the New World Symphony. There will be simultaneous and subsequent opportunities to experience the work throughout Miami-Dade. To learn more about the project, visit www.Project305.org.
